Reederei NORD is a family-owned, ship owner and manager, with 60 years of experience in vessel trading and operation. We are a leading service provider in maritime transport, determined to expand this position, and offering operational excellence and a forward-thinking focus on management services in the technical, crewing, IT, cyber security, and commercial areas.
Since our establishment in 1964, we have embarked on a journey driven by passion, excellence, and a deep appreciation for the sea. We build and maintain our sustainable business with like-minded quality partners and with the strong support of our experienced and dedicated teams onboard and at shore. We aim high and always look for opportunities to do better. This is as true today as it was for our founder, Klaus E. Oldendorff, who – with his visionary approach – remains an inspiring example for us to this day.

A company, established in 1964 by late Mr. Klaus E. Oldendorff. The company started trading on 12th December 1964, when it took delivery in Kiel of a single deck 1,417 tons deadweight vessel called “BOCKHOLM” into its management. The following day, 13th December, the company opened its first office in Hamburg.
